My new pretties… why does
shopping buying always make me feel better?
Yes, I know that summer technically ended earlier this week, but it’s official here in Baltimore: tomorrow’s high is a mere 64 degrees. I guess I’ll have to consider putting away those sandals for good, although admittedly, now some shoe shopping will be required. I need new black boots, black heels (I hate the slingbacks I bought last year), and grey heels (at a minimum). Ugh. I love shoes… but am always disappointed by the shopping with my 5 1/2 size feet.
I need some feedback.
1. What do we think of these… in red? In black?
2. These… in the brown snake color? (It looks grey to me).
3. Or these in black?
4. Are these BK’s shoes? (Work people only.)
5. How about these in black?
6. Oooohhh… GREY ONES!
7. Not practical, but these pumps are way fun.
8. Nice.
9. Ahhh… Anne Klein. I wish.
10. I WANT THESE. TELL ME IT’S OKAY TO BUY THEM.
sniff
I did some marathon shopping this weekend with Katie (BAD Katie, BAD). Although I found a bunch of cool things, my best purchases are a new winter coat and new casual shoes. The new coat and Skechers are definitely my favorites.
Ann Taylor LOFT petites trench coat. Can you believe that this coat isn’t too long? Picture it with slim jeans and 3″ black boots. Yum. I LOVE my new coat.
Skechers brown “jeans” shoes… I’ve been looking for some casual shoes for just plain running around. These are extremely comfortable (and totally fashionable).
And lastly… HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY, JODI!!!
I bought these this weekend when I went shopping with Jodi. Does liking Aerosoles make me old? I LOVE Aerosoles… and I love my new sassy shoes!
Productivity (prō’dŭk-tĭv’ĭ-tē) noun. the quality of being productive or having the power to produce
What I’ve done: 1. Picked up the running shoes that I ordered last weekend. These are the most comfortable shoes for my poor little flat feet. Joe is going to try to get me biking again. I don’t enjoy it, and I haven’t been on a bike since high school. Good luck, babe!
2. Vacuumed and washed car
3. Went in search of Saturday newspapers with my bag-in-tree photo – found them at Barnes & Noble in White Marsh
4. Bought Omaha Steaks for Easter dinner with Joe (because we can)
5. Vacuumed apartment
6. Dusted apartment
7. Took out trash
8. Made and devoured a delicious smoothie of strawberries, bananas and blueberries
9. Cleaned cat box
10. Loaded/ran/unloaded dishwasher
11. Cleaned bathroom
12. Swiffered floors
13. (In progress) Cooking lasagna for work lunches
What I plan to do:
1. Shower and get cleaned up
2. Pack up food/steak, newspapers, book, and dog for Easter at Joe’s
3. Wipe down the interior of the car
What I have to get done this week:
1. Play computer games
2. Work on strategy presentation for work
3. Taxes
Antonio went to the vet today for his annual appointment. He is very healthy but weighed in at 11.1 lbs, which is a bit heavy for him. I decided last minute to have him micro-chipped. It was such a HUGE needle that it freaked me out at first, but honestly, he didn’t seem to notice. It cost $44 for the chip and registration in Maryland, and another $17.50 to have him registered nation-wide. All of the cost is worth it to know that the likelihood of losing him is now pretty low. And there’s always the added bonus of name calling. I’m writing a new song for him now in my head. “An-to-ni-o…. he’s a bi-on-ic doooog…”
I also picked up my other new shoes today. I have been looking for a nice pair of tan or camel-colored heels for work for months. Aren’t they nice? They are somewhat “springy,” and still are technically closed-toed, which is a requirement for work. I can’t wait to wear them (although I CAN wait until Monday). Annie – both of these new shoes are Aerosoles, and I bought them online. I don’t think I answered you before. Sorry!
Have a good Saturday!
